For years, we have both been obsessed with the concept of TEAMS. From sports teams growing up, to coaching, to working with a team of teachers, and a team in business or ministry, we've both been on amazing teams, as well as teams full of dysfunction. From seasons of thriving to periods where things JUST. SEEMED. STUCK.
But why do some teams thrive, and others get stuck? Even when it seems you might have the right people "on the bus", it's easy to get caught feeling guilty, or judging others when things aren't going well.
When we first learned of the WORKING GENIUS Model, it was like a lifetime of light bulbs going off at once...it just make sense. This is why we're so excited to be working TOGETHER (Yes, we're a couple...married for over 20 years now) bringing The Working Genius to business teams, church leadership teams, coaching teams...and even families. For the past 8 years, Jess has been busier than ever as a homeschool mom to three amazing kids, coaching sports teams, running a photography business, and staying busy as a self-proclaimed animal lover (aka – crazy chicken lady). 😊
Jess is passionate about health...especially helping people live healthy lifestyles in body, mind, and spirit.
More About Matt
Matt served as the Executive Director at Star of Hope Ministries in Paterson, NJ from 2017-2024. Over the past 25 years, Matt has worked in a variety of business, education, and ministry capacities including a lifetime in the family business, teaching posts in Okinawa, Japan, leading worship at Calvary Chapel Okinawa, and as church planters and non-profit leadership in Paterson, NJ.
Some of Matt’s greatest passions are spending time with his wife and three children, teaching the Word of God, playing and watching basketball, and riding his motorcycle. His favorite Bible verse is Galatians 6:9 – “'And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
